Barzani urges KDP support at Duhok rally ahead of elections

Kurdistan Democratic Party Vice President Nechirvan Barzani addressed supporters on Sunday at a campaign event in Akre district, urging residents to back List 275 candidates in the upcoming national vote. Barzani told the crowd that maintaining party strength protects Kurdish interests and prevents constitutional violations that have damaged Iraq’s federal system. He said KDP representatives would work to ensure all legislation respects constitutional balance and supports regional development.

The vice president called for voter participation that would push party totals beyond 1 million ballots across Duhok province. Barzani credited his organization with transforming the region from devastation into stability and establishing democratic foundations. He told young attendees they must carry forward nearly eight decades of political work.
