Bashundhara Public School launches Talents Den sports and co-curricular academy
Bashundhara Public School and College in Dhaka launched its new co-curricular and sports academy, “Talents Den,” on Friday morning. The event, which ran from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, marked an important moment in the school’s history.
The ceremony took place in three parts. It began with a welcome speech, the national anthem, and religious recitations. At 9:35 am, the chairman officially opened “Talents Den,” followed by a cultural performance by students and teachers showcasing their creative talents.
The final part of the event featured demonstrations in art, music, dance, and various sports like cricket, football, and swimming. These sessions highlighted the academy’s focus on building confidence and discipline.
The academy, funded by Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan, will offer free training to all students. It is the first private school in Bangladesh to offer such world-class facilities. Principal Brig Gen (retd) Anisur Rahman emphasized that “Talents Den” aims to nurture students into well-rounded individuals with creativity and leadership skills.
