Bashundhara Shuvosangho helps disabled man restart shop in Shibchar

Bashundhara Shuvosangho in Shibchar, Madaripur, has launched a heartwarming initiative to help a physically challenged man, Md Jamal Fakir, become self-reliant. On Friday, the Shibchar unit, with support from friends, provided Jamal with goods to stock his shop in Nal Gora under Shibchar municipality.

The contribution was made on behalf of Sazzad Hossain Siddiqui Lablu, joint convener of the Madaripur district BNP, through his younger brother, Sadat Hossain Siddiqui Nasru Mia. Jamal, once healthy, became paralyzed two decades ago due to typhoid fever. Financial struggles prevented him from receiving treatment, and his small shop had remained empty for years.

With the new goods and cash, Jamal expressed his deep gratitude, saying he now has hope to start again. Locals also shared their joy, as Jamal’s shop now has products, attracting customers. Sazzad Hossain Siddiqui Lablu emphasized the importance of supporting the underprivileged and vowed to continue helping people in need.
