Bashundhara Shuvosangho installs dustbins to keep Tetulia clean
Bashundhara Shuvosangho has placed dustbins at key locations in Tetulia, Panchagarh, to promote cleanliness and environmental awareness. On Monday, dustbins were installed at five spots, including the historic Tetul Tola area. Volunteers also held awareness sessions with locals, encouraging them to help keep the area clean.
Tetulia, known for its scenic views of Kanchenjunga and lush tea gardens, attracts thousands of tourists each year. Bashundhara Shuvosangho launched this initiative to preserve the town’s beauty and hygiene. National Environment Award winner Mahamudul Islam praised the effort and urged locals to use the bins properly.
Ferdous Alam Liton, General Secretary of the Tetulia Upazila unit, mentioned that the program would soon expand to more areas. Tetulia Upazila unit President Humayun Kabir highlighted their ongoing efforts and previous successful proposals to local authorities. Local teachers, social workers, and community members supported the initiative.
