BJP defends Anamika Gautam amid Congress corruption claims

The BJP has defended Anamika Gautam, wife of BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, against Congress’s accusations of unexplained wealth growth. Congress has claimed Gautam’s assets grew from Rs 50 lakh in 2009 to Rs 31.32 crore by 2024, suggesting potential corruption.

BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya responded on X, stating that Gautam would present her side to the Lokpal and questioned Congress’s timing, suggesting the Gandhi family might be threatened by Dubey’s political influence.

Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate highlighted discrepancies in Gautam’s financial disclosures and demanded accountability. The matter remains under judicial review, with both parties waiting for the Lokpal’s response.
