BJP hits back at Rahul Gandhi over Modi-Trump remarks
The BJP responded sharply to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks about Prime Minister Modi’s reaction to US President Trump’s statements. BJP spokesperson Tuhin Sinha criticized Gandhi for his lack of understanding of foreign relations, asserting that India’s energy policies are independent and made based on national interests.
Sinha also reminded Gandhi of Congress’s failures during the UPA government, particularly regarding terrorist attacks from Pakistan. He accused Gandhi of trying to stir controversy with baseless claims after being out of the public eye for 15 days.
Congress defended Gandhi, with senior leader Udit Raj calling Modi a coward for bowing to foreign pressure. MP Tariq Anwar added that India should not give in to outside influence, maintaining its non-aligned stance.
