BJP, JD(U) to contest 101 seats each in Bihar NDA seat-sharing deal

The suspense over seat-sharing in Bihar’s ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for the upcoming Assembly elections has been resolved. BJP’s Bihar in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan announced on Sunday that both Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) and the BJP will contest 101 seats each, with smaller coalition partners like LJP (R), RLM, and HAM getting the remaining seats.

The seat-sharing agreement follows a series of discussions between NDA partners in Delhi and Patna. Pradhan shared the breakdown on social media: JD(U) and BJP will each contest 101 seats, LJP (Ram Vilas) will get 29, and both RLM and HAM will contest 6 seats each.

Chirag Paswan of LJP (RV) echoed the sentiment, assuring that the NDA alliance remains strong and united. The first phase of the election will take place on November 6, with the second phase on November 11, and counting on November 14. The race is heating up with the Mahagathbandhan and the new Jan Suraaj party, led by Prashant Kishor, adding more competition to the mix.
