Chelsea wonderkid Mark Guio eyes Real Betis, Sunderland move

Mark Guio, a 19-year-old striker from Spain, is thinking about leaving Chelsea in the winter transfer window after spending most matches on the bench. Frustration has built up for Guio, who came back from a loan at Sunderland hoping for more time on the field. New signings Joao Pedro and Liam Delap have blocked his way into the starting lineup, making his position at Chelsea shaky.

Real Betis wants to bring Guio back to Spain on a loan in January, but a return to Sunderland also remains possible. Chelsea still sees him as a talented prospect and wants to keep control of his future by refusing any loan deals that come with a purchase option. Guio needs to find a team that offers regular games to prove what he can do.
