Court orders RIA to fix Bulgaria Blvd. bridge after legal battle
The Supreme Administrative Court (SAC) rejected the appeal of the “Road Infrastructure” Agency (API) and confirmed that the agency must repair a bridge at the junction of “Bulgaria” Blvd. and the Sofia Ring Road. The SAC decision is final and cannot be appealed.
The API must immediately strengthen the bridge, carry out a structural survey, and prepare an investment project for approval. Afterward, the agency must begin repairs based on the approved plans.
The RIA is responsible for maintaining and repairing republican roads, as these are state-owned. The court confirmed that the order issued by the Chief Architect of Sofia was lawful.
