Crash injures 10 in Orange County Florida
Ten people suffered severe injuries after two vehicles crashed on Thursday evening in the Carver Shores section of Orange County. A 29-year-old driver from Kissimmee struck the back of a Nissan Altima while both cars traveled east on Raleigh Street near Campanella Avenue. The impact forced the Altima off the roadway into a tree.
Emergency crews transported nine children from the Altima to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando. The adult who drove the Altima received treatment at Orlando Regional Medical Center. The Alfa Romeo driver stayed at the scene and did not require medical attention.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the collision in the residential neighborhood west of downtown Orlando. Authorities have not disclosed the ages of the injured children or provided details about their current conditions. Fire rescue teams and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the crash site.
