Croatia Meeting G2 unites global Croats

The Croatia Meeting G2 conference wrapped up its 11th edition in Novska after two days of programming that drew more than 250 attendees from 20 nations. Participants traveled from Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Canada, Australia and multiple European countries to discuss business opportunities and investment prospects. The event centered on video gaming and technology sectors that have transformed the small Croatian town into an innovation hub. Organizers highlighted a delegation of Australian Croats and 45 students participating in a Croatian language education exchange program.

Survey results presented at the gathering showed that 46 percent of Croatian emigrants plan to return home within 2 years. Researchers attributed the shift to improved business conditions and economic growth that make the country more attractive to expatriates. Government officials emphasized investments in innovation, digital technologies and youth programs designed to reverse emigration trends. Novska officials showcased an under-construction Gaming Industry Centre valued at 70 million euros that will occupy nine hectares when completed.
