Croatia to launch culture card for young people’s cultural access

Croatia is introducing a culture card that will provide eighteen-year-olds with a 100-euro voucher to spend on cultural activities like theater, cinema, concerts, or books. Minister of Culture and Media Nina Obuljen Koržinek announced the initiative, which will be presented at the Interliber event in Zagreb from November 11-16. The card aims to encourage young people’s participation in culture and support cultural institutions, publishers, and theatres by attracting new audiences.

Obuljen Koržinek also discussed rising populism and the importance of media literacy to help youth navigate misinformation and manipulation in today’s digital age.
