Croatian passport surpasses US, now ranks 8th in the world
Croatia’s passport has risen in power, now surpassing the US passport on the Henley Passport Index. The US passport has dropped out of the top 10 for the first time ever, while Croatia’s passport ranks 8th, tied with the UK, offering visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 184 countries.
Once torn by war during Yugoslavia’s collapse, Croatia has emerged as a European tourism leader, joined the EU, the Eurozone, and Schengen, and gained visa-free access to the US. This success is reflected in the strength of its passport, which has climbed from 14th place. Croatia’s achievements highlight its remarkable transformation from conflict to international recognition.
