Cuepacs hails Madani Budget 2026 for civil service support

The Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) has praised the Madani Budget 2026 as a strong recognition of civil servants’ role in nation-building.

Cuepacs president Datuk Dr Adnan Mat welcomed the introduction of the Public Service Remuneration System (SSPA) 2.0, new incentives, and housing initiatives, saying they reflect the government’s appreciation of civil servants’ contributions. He urged quick and transparent implementation of these measures for federal and state employees.

Adnan also praised the RM18 billion allocated for Phase 2 of SSPA, the RM2.2 billion for government quarters, and various housing schemes for civil servants. He highlighted the RM500 Special Financial Assistance for civil servants and welcomed the increase in allowances for Kemas retirees and other groups.

Cuepacs also appreciated the government’s decision to maintain a 20% salary cut for Cabinet ministers as a symbol of leadership and integrity.
