Deepika Kumari shines at Archery Premier League debut season finale
The Archery Premier League (APL), the world’s first professional archery league, wrapped up its inaugural season with a press conference at the Yamuna Sports Complex. India’s top archer, Deepika Kumari, shared her experience of competing alongside some of the world’s best, highlighting how much Indian archers have learned from their international peers.
Deepika expressed excitement about competing with the top 20 archers globally, something she never imagined possible. She noted the valuable lessons on work ethic, training, and mindset that will help elevate Indian archery. The event, attended by key figures including actor and APL flagbearer Ram Charan, showcased a mix of international and Indian talent.
Prominent archers such as 2024 Olympic contender Katherine Bauer, Olympian Brady Ellison, World No. 1 Ella Gibson, and World No. 2 Mathias Fullerton added prestige to the league, with Deepika and other Indian stars like Dhiraj Bommadevara and Jyothi Vennam also contributing to the event’s success.
