Drone strike kills 60 at Sudanese shelter in el-Fasher

At least 60 people were killed in a drone strike on a displacement camp in el-Fasher, a Sudanese city under siege. The paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) attacked Dar al-Arqam camp, located at a university, with two drone strikes and eight artillery rounds. Witnesses reported chaos as rescuers recovered bodies from the rubble. Local hospitals, overwhelmed by the constant fighting, are treating victims in hallways and on floors.

The RSF has encircled the city for 17 months, aiming to seize the last Sudanese army stronghold in Darfur. The UN estimates 250,000 civilians are trapped, and experts warn the city could soon fall. The situation has sparked global concern, with some calling the ongoing strikes war crimes.
