Ebonyi University expels three students for firearms possession

Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, has expelled three students for allegedly possessing firearms. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Michael Awoke, made this announcement during the inauguration of the new Students’ Union Government executives on Friday. He said the expulsion was meant to deter others, emphasizing that the university no longer tolerates cultism, exam malpractice, or weapon possession. The expelled students, identified as Azubike Lawrence, Enyinnaya Ibe Kenneth, and Njoku Joshua, were arrested with guns and ammunition during the recent student elections.
