Eight-year-old special needs student dies from Influenza A in Klang

An eight-year-old student from the Special Education Integrated Programme (PPKI) at Sekolah Kebangsaan Meru in Klang died yesterday, believed to be from an Influenza A infection.

North Klang police chief ACP S. Vijaya Rao confirmed the child’s death at around 4:30 am and stated that investigations showed both the child and their family tested positive for Influenza A.

The Ministry of Health has taken preventive measures, including medical checks on the family and monitoring the area to prevent the spread of the virus. The case is being treated as a sudden death.
