Elvis Darko backs Cheddar’s New Force as youth alternative

A newspaper editor identified Nana Kwame Bediako’s New Force as the strongest youth-oriented political option beyond the two major parties. Elvis Darko of the Newscenta said Bediako’s 2024 performance demonstrated significant appeal despite his brief campaign period and newcomer status.

Darko spoke on Channel One TV on Monday, noting Bediako earned nearly triple the votes of Alan Kyerematen. The editor said the businessman’s message resonated with young voters seeking alternatives to the established political structure.

The New Force leader attracted attention through masked billboards before revealing his identity six months ahead of the election. Darko said this strategy generated youth interest and proved the viability of third-party movements in Ghanaian politics.

The editor suggested Bediako could strengthen his position by recruiting influential figures and building an experienced team. He said such efforts might produce surprising results in future contests.
