Families reunited with transformed loved ones at Angel of Hope rehab center

Joy and gratitude overflowed at the Angel of Hope Drug Rehabilitation Centre in Mbare during another heartwarming family reunion. Families joyfully reunited with their loved ones in recovery, celebrating the visible transformation in the youths who once struggled with addiction. The event was filled with tears, laughter, and heartfelt moments, with survivors showcasing their talents through poetry, song, and even flawless drills.

The First Lady, Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa, guided the event with compassion, urging families to offer care and understanding, rather than stigmatization, when their loved ones return home. She emphasized the collective responsibility in fighting drug abuse and stressed that each survivor should leave the programme as a person of good character, ready for a better future. Families expressed amazement at the changes they witnessed, with many survivors offering sincere apologies and promising to help others on their recovery journey.
