First Capital Bank champions women’s empowerment in health and business

First Capital Bank (FCB) has renewed its commitment to empowering women in Malawi, focusing on their health and business growth. The pledge was made at a High Tea Party in Lilongwe, held in partnership with Umodzi Park to celebrate Mother’s Day under the theme “Empowering Women in Business and Health.”

FCB Corporate Communications Manager, Memory Mwathengere, emphasized the bank’s dedication to supporting women through targeted initiatives. She said the bank believes in uplifting women, especially as they face various challenges that require both financial and emotional support.

Business coach Chifundo Chiphanzi encouraged women to focus on financial discipline and long-term planning for business sustainability. Nurse Hlalapi Kunkeyani from Kamuzu Central Hospital highlighted the importance of women’s health for their productivity and family wellbeing.
