Frankie Poon quits Sabah DAP amid internal rift

Former Sabah DAP chairman Datuk Frankie Poon dropped a bombshell today, announcing his resignation from the party due to internal issues. He stepped down along with former Sabah DAP secretary Liau Fui Fui and two party branches they led.

Poon and Liau said their decision wasn’t rushed, but came after evaluating the party’s recent internal turmoil. They accused certain party leaders of plotting to oust the current Tanjung Papat leadership without proper talks or consultation.

They also slammed the state leadership for sidelining veterans in favor of younger members, calling it disrespectful to those who had served for years. Despite the exit, they pledged to continue serving the people independently.
