Hatirjheel marathon draws crowds, records tumble

The Chuti Bay Inspiring Bangladesh Half Marathon attracted over two thousand participants of various ages at the Hatirjheel Police Plaza. Organized by Sprint and supported by Gold’s Gym Bangladesh, the event featured domestic and international runners, including entire families.

The annual event, which promotes physical and mental wellness, included three race distances: 7.5 km, 15 km, and 21 km. A dedicated two-kilometer run for children was a notable highlight, with many young participants joining alongside their parents.

Winners across the categories included Liza Xerox and Aminul Hasan for the 7.5 km race, Teresa Kochi and Amir Hossain for the 15 km, and Sadia and Ashraful Alam for the 21 km half-marathon. A closing award ceremony was attended by the Maldives Ambassador to Bangladesh, Shiuneen Rasheed.
