High Court allows father of Altantuya to challenge police over affidavit in murder case

The High Court allowed Dr Shaariibuu Setev, the father of Altantuya Shaariibuu, to ask for a review to make the police investigate a new statement from a former officer linked to the murder. Judge Datuk Aliza Sulaiman approved the request after the Attorney-General agreed with the application. The court set Oct 31 for the next hearing. Dr Shaariibuu had asked the court to declare that the police did wrong by not informing him of the latest progress on the investigation into the former officer’s affidavit and statement. He also requested the court to make the investigation finish in one month and for updates every week.
