Man fined RM5,000 for splashing red paint at Johor salon

A 26-year-old man, Ahmad Abu Bakar, was fined RM5,000 today for splashing red paint inside a hair salon at a mall last Saturday. Ahmad pleaded guilty in court. He threw a plastic container filled with red paint into the salon with another person, who is still missing. A customer was partially splashed with the paint, and some salon furniture was damaged.

The incident happened on October 11 at 11:50 am. Ahmad was charged under Section 427 of the Penal Code for causing damage. He asked for a lighter sentence, explaining he had no steady job and supported his elderly parents. The court fined him RM5,000 and stated he would face 12 months in jail if he didn’t pay.
