Ibrahim Zadran fined for equipment abuse in ODI
Afghanistan opener Ibrahim Zadran was fined 15% of his match fee for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during the third ODI against Bangladesh in Abu Dhabi. The fine followed an incident in the 37th over of Afghanistan’s innings when Ibrahim, frustrated after being dismissed, struck some equipment near the team area. The breach violated Article 2.2 of the ICC Code, which concerns the abuse of cricket equipment. Ibrahim admitted the offence and accepted the sanction, which included one demerit point added to his record. Despite this, Afghanistan secured a historic 3-0 series win, with Ibrahim named Player of the Series.
