India leads 19th NAM meeting in Uganda with key talks

Union Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh represented India at the opening of the 19th Mid-Term Ministerial of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Uganda. He attended the ceremony, which focused on deepening global cooperation, and later met Mali’s Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop to discuss India-Mali relations. Singh also met Somalia’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs Ali Mohamed Omar to explore further cooperation, particularly in strengthening people-to-people ties. India has shown support for Uganda’s leadership of NAM, with Secretary Sibi George attending the Senior Officials’ Meeting in Kampala, backing Uganda’s chairmanship.
