India recommended to host 2030 Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad
Jay Shah, the International Cricket Council (ICC) official, congratulated India on being recommended to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games, calling it a “momentous occasion for Indian sports.” The Commonwealth Sport Executive Board confirmed Ahmedabad as the proposed host city for the Centenary Commonwealth Games. Shah expressed his excitement on social media, highlighting the significance of India’s growing global presence.
The recommendation followed a thorough evaluation of Ahmedabad’s proposal, which met various criteria such as athlete experience, infrastructure, and alignment with Commonwealth Sport values. The 2030 Games will mark the 100th anniversary of the first Commonwealth Games. P.T.
