J P Nadda meets Rishi Sunak in Delhi to discuss India-UK ties
Union Minister of Health J P Nadda met former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in New Delhi on Thursday under the ‘Know BJP’ initiative. They discussed strengthening India-UK relations and India’s use of technology to improve grassroots healthcare.
Nadda also gifted Sunak a Himachali cap and shawl as a gesture of goodwill. In a post on X, Nadda expressed his pleasure in hosting Sunak and shared insights on the BJP’s organizational strength and its focus on development-oriented governance.
Earlier in February, Sunak and his family had a meeting with PM Modi, where Sunak praised Modi’s vision for India. Sunak, born to Indian parents, has always emphasized closer ties between India and the UK.
