Jamaat-e-Islami leader dies in motorcycle crash in Bogura

Abul Kalam Biswas, 50, a leader of Jamaat-e-Islami in Raiganj, died in a motorcycle crash on Monday night. The accident happened around 8 p.m. on the Dhaka-Bogura highway near Chonka Bazar in Sherpur upazila, Bogura, while he was returning from a Jamaat education camp. Biswas reportedly lost control of his motorcycle and hit the road divider.

He was taken to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital but died before arriving. Biswas, also the head of the Raiganj Press Club, lived in Simla Biswaspara village. Police confirmed the death and filed a case after his family received the body.
