Jamaat-e-Islami offers Tk1 lakh to families of Mirpur fire victims

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman visited the Mirpur fire site on Tuesday night, where at least 16 people lost their lives. He announced that the party would provide Tk1 lakh to each family of the victims. Shafiqur inspected the burnt buildings and called for a fair investigation into the cause of the fire. He also demanded legal action against those responsible for negligence.

Expressing deep sympathy for the victims, Shafiqur thanked the firefighters and rescuers. He left the scene around 10:25pm, as the Fire Service continued efforts to extinguish the blaze at the chemical warehouse.
