Williams team principal James Vowles has praised Alex Albon for his “outstanding” 2025 Formula 1 season, noting a significant improvement in his confidence and belief, which has been crucial to the team’s strong performance this year. Albon is currently eighth in the Drivers’ Championship with 70 points, scoring in 11 of the 18 races so far. His consistent results, including personal-best P5 finishes in multiple races, have helped Williams rise to fifth place in the Constructors’ standings.
Vowles highlighted Albon’s remarkable growth since joining the team, noting his increasing mental composure and self-assurance. “This year, Alex has picked up every result available and his pace has been outstanding,” Vowles said, adding that Albon’s confidence has been key to his success and the team’s progress. Albon himself acknowledged that 2025 is his best season, crediting both his personal development and Williams’ efforts to maximize their opportunities.
Vowles also praised Albon for his teamwork and openness in helping teammate Carlos Sainz adjust to the car, noting how Albon has been vocal and proactive in sharing insights, helping both Sainz and the engineers improve the car’s performance.
