Jubo Dal feud leaves one dead in Chattogram

Police arrested eight suspects after a factional battle between rival Jubo Dal groups left one Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal member dead in Chattogram’s Bakalia neighborhood. Md Alam filed a murder complaint at the local station naming 17 people and approximately 40 unidentified participants in the violence that killed his son, Sajjad.

Officers conducted raids across Bakalia through the night and detained six named defendants along with two additional individuals. Station chief Md Ikhtiar Uddin said authorities will bring the arrested men before a judge on Wednesday.

Investigators continue searching for other suspects and working to identify additional participants in the fatal confrontation. The case marks the latest in a series of violent incidents between competing factions within the youth wing of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party.
