Juventus locks in Openda Leipzig deal for 45.5 million euros

Juventus is set to wrap up a 45.5 million euro deal for Belgian striker Louis Openda from Leipzig, according to Football Italia. The agreement, made on the last day of the summer transfer window, brings Openda to Juventus on loan for 3.3 million euros with a purchase option of 40.6 million euros plus 1.7 million in bonuses.

This clause will turn into a mandatory buy if Juventus stays in Serie A by the end of the 2025-2026 season. The transfer started as a plan for a permanent move, and Juventus secured flexible payment terms. Openda has not scored in eight appearances, playing just 204 minutes and sitting behind Dusan Vlahovic and Jonathan David in the pecking order.
