Kane Williamson joins Lucknow Super Giants as strategic advisor

Kane Williamson, recently appointed as the strategic advisor of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), expressed his excitement about being involved in the IPL, calling it “the best franchise competition in the game.” Williamson, who has played 79 IPL matches for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans, is looking forward to working with the talented squad and coaching staff at LSG.

The franchise also announced Carl Crowe as the new spin bowling coach, joining head coach Justin Langer and bowling coach Bharat Arun. Langer shared the team’s anticipation for the 2026 season, emphasizing ongoing preparations. The status of former mentor Zaheer Khan and other assistant coaches remains unclear as LSG prepares for the upcoming IPL season.
