Karakachanov claims VMRO saved family values
The leader of VMRO, Krasimir Karakachanov, accused Brussels liberals of using gender ideology to dismantle the traditional Christian family, arguing this creates a fragmented and easily manipulated society. He urged people not only to celebrate the family but also to actively fight for its preservation.
Karakachanov stated that the battle continues, with Brussels allocating billions to promote same-sex marriages and gender reassignment procedures for children. He expressed pride that his party, while in government, successfully blocked the Istanbul Convention, which was later declared unconstitutional. He credited VMRO with withstanding immense pressure from both international bodies and their former coalition partners, GERB.
He warned that without their intervention, the current budget would fund gender reassignment and what he described as the brainwashing of children in schools. Karakachanov concluded by asserting that the threat persists from Brussels officials and their allies in Bulgaria, calling for a more resolute and angry public stance.
