Karan Johar celebrates 25 years as Filmfare host with Shah Rukh Khan
Karan Johar marked a major milestone, celebrating 25 years as a host at the 70th Filmfare Awards alongside none other than Shah Rukh Khan. Taking to Instagram, KJo shared a behind-the-scenes clip from his fun practice session with King Khan, reminiscing about how his journey as a host began with Filmfare all those years ago. “25 years ago, I started hosting here and look where I am today!” he wrote, thanking Gujarat Tourism for its support.
The ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ director also reflected on his Filmfare legacy, acknowledging his seventh Black Lady win and the emotional significance of the award. Karan revealed how his father, Yash Johar, helped ease his nerves before his first Filmfare win in 1999 with advice to chant the Gayatri Mantra for luck.
