KPDN urges public to report Budi95 pump scams, not spread rumors online

The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) has urged the public to report any alleged fuel pump meter manipulation under the Budi Madani RON95 subsidy directly to them, rather than sharing claims on social media. Penang KPDN director S. Jegan emphasized that this helps ensure proper investigations. He added that no complaints about Budi95 have been received since its launch on September 30, except for one technical issue, which was resolved.

Jegan also explained that tampering with fuel pump meters is difficult and that the subsidy amount has been fixed. He reassured the public that the ministry monitors purchasing trends to prevent subsidy leakages. Meanwhile, 173 enforcement officers are monitoring prices in Penang during the Deepavali price control period from October 17 to 22 to protect consumers.
