PH to announce 23 candidates for Sabah polls next month

Pakatan Harapan (PH) will announce its list of candidates for the 17th Sabah state election next month. Sabah PKR chairman Datuk Mustapha Sakmud said the coalition plans to contest between 21 and 23 state assembly seats. The final list will be decided by PH’s top leadership and announced by President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The seat allocation between Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and PH has been finalized and will be revealed on Nomination Day. GRS chairman Datuk Hajiji Noor confirmed the agreement but withheld further details. The Election Commission has set Nomination Day for November 15, with early voting on November 25 and polling on November 29. Mustapha mentioned that PKR will field a variety of candidates, including new faces and local leaders.
