Married couple among five arrested in massive drug bust in Gombak, Wangsa Maju

Police arrested five people, including a married couple, in separate raids in Gombak and Wangsa Maju on October 13 and 14. The couple was caught in a house near Batu Caves, Selangor, where police found 197 packets of ketamine weighing 200kg and 121 bags of methamphetamine weighing 125kg. The total drugs were worth about RM14 million.

Datuk Hussein Omar Khan from Bukit Aman said three men were arrested at a Wangsa Maju condominium parking area. Investigations revealed the man from Batu Caves was the storekeeper, his wife was involved, and others were part of the syndicate. The drugs were brought from a neighbouring country and stored in Klang Valley homes before distribution. Police also seized vehicles and jewellery worth RM300,000. The suspects are being held for seven days.
