Kurdish National Council demands rights in new Syria
Faisal Youssef, the spokesperson for the Kurdish National Council in Syria, said Syria still operates as a centralized government. He noted that the Kurdish people’s rights have not been achieved, and the new leaders in Damascus have not brought real change. Youssef praised President Masoud Barzani for his ongoing efforts to support Kurdish unity and peaceful coexistence.
Youssef criticized the lack of progress in Syria, saying the Kurdish issue remains unresolved. He emphasized that Syria must adopt a federal system to include all its diverse communities. He also stated that the Kurdish National Council is ready for talks, but the government has not yet responded. Youssef stressed the importance of Kurdish participation in Syria’s future political framework.
