Mafabi promises crop insurance and farm loans
Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Nathan Nandala Mafabi has promised to introduce a crop insurance scheme to protect farmers from drought, floods, and storms.
Speaking at rallies in Tororo district, Mafabi expressed understanding of the challenges farmers face and vowed to improve agriculture. He also promised to revive the Cooperative Bank and offer interest-free loans to farmers for their activities.
Mafabi highlighted that Uganda has enough resources but struggles due to corruption and weak systems. He also promised to address water scarcity, provide Shs 1 million in startup capital to graduates, and ensure job opportunities within months if elected.
