Malaysia’s GDP growth forecasted at 5.2% in Q3 2025 despite global uncertainties

Malaysia’s GDP is expected to grow by 5.2 percent in the third quarter of 2025, showing strong economic expansion, particularly in construction and services. This forecast exceeds the previous projection of 4.8 percent despite global political and trade challenges.

Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil stated that Malaysia’s economy continues to grow robustly, even with geopolitical uncertainties. He added that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called for special attention to the manufacturing sector to manage current global trade challenges.

The GDP growth is supported by strong performance across all major sectors, with domestic demand, particularly in tourism, driving the economy forward.
