Masrour Barzani lays cornerstone for Kurdistan Innovation Institute Science Park
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani laid the cornerstone for the Kurdistan Innovation Institute’s (KII) Science Park, marking a significant step towards the region’s technological and innovation growth. The Science Park, located on a 200,000-square-meter site in Erbil, will include modern office spaces, laboratories, workrooms, meeting areas, and accommodation facilities, fostering a dynamic environment for research, innovation, and industry.
The project will use clean energy, emphasizing the region’s commitment to sustainable development and technological self-sufficiency. Once completed, it aims to attract global talent and investment, making Kurdistan a leading hub for science and technology. This initiative aligns with the KRG’s strategy to diversify the economy, focusing on innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable development.
