Modi blasts Congress-era failures at NDTV summit

At the NDTV World Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sharply criticized Congress for its failures before 2014, accusing the party of policy paralysis, corruption, and economic mismanagement. He compared his government’s inclusive reforms with Congress’s history of exclusion.

PM Modi explained that Congress made banking inaccessible, but his administration opened over 50 crore Jan Dhan accounts, empowering the population. He also pointed out how his government tackled the banking sector’s issues, including non-performing assets, which were left by Congress.

The Prime Minister highlighted India’s growth, with inflation under 2 percent and an average growth rate of 7.8 percent in the past three years. He also stressed that India is now seen as an attractive partner for global investors.
