Museveni urges NAM members to unite for shared prosperity
President Yoweri Museveni urged members of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to focus on shared prosperity and mutual growth. He warned against harmful ideas, stating that countries should not resent each other’s progress but should build upon it.
Museveni highlighted the rise in steel prices as nations like China and India modernized, suggesting that no one should fear another country’s success. He also spoke about human history, noting that science and technology drive progress, and stressed the importance of learning from history.
The President praised NAM’s founders for maintaining neutrality during the Cold War and emphasized the movement’s relevance today. He called on countries to focus on trade, investment, and mutual support.
