Myanmar, ASEAN nations complete joint AEO field visit
On November 6 and 7, Myanmar Customs, joined by Customs officials from Brunei, Cambodia, the Philippines, and Singapore, conducted a field validation of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) companies in Myanmar. The teams inspected UPG Paint & Coating Co Ltd in the Hlinethaya Industrial Zone and Wilmar Myanmar Riceland Limited in the Thilawa Special Economic Zone to evaluate AEO compliance. The validation focused on adherence to World Customs Organization guidelines and effective implementation of international trade security measures. Myanmar Customs aims to fully implement the ASEAN AEO Mutual Recognition Arrangement by December.
