Myanmar celebrates World Standards Day 2025 in Nay Pyi Taw

The Ministry of Science and Technology celebrated the 13th World Standards Day 2025 in Nay Pyi Taw. Union Minister Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw emphasized the theme, “Shared Vision for a Better World: Spotlight on SDG 17- Partnerships for the Goals,” highlighting the role of international standards in advancing technology and innovation. Myanmar has established 948 national standards, which help improve product quality and enhance trade. The event featured video clips from Mr. Sergio Mujica, Secretary-General of the International Organization for Standardization. The Union Minister also discussed a project on strengthening national quality infrastructure, with input from relevant officials and attendees, including Dr. Zhang Zhonghua from the Chinese Embassy.
