Naydenov slams party-list system, calls for majority vote reform
Journalist Valeri Naydenov commented on the draft law scandal, noting that it highlights a much bigger issue – how we choose our MPs. He criticized the party-list electoral system, saying it allows MPs’ seats to be bought through various means, from sexual favors to corruption. Naydenov also pointed out that large parties use smaller, seemingly opposing parties to maintain control. He believes the solution is a majority vote in two rounds.
