Nestle to cut 16,000 jobs under new CEO’s shakeup
Nestle, the Swiss food company known for brands like Kit Kat and Nespresso, said it will cut 16,000 jobs over the next two years. The cuts are part of a plan by new CEO Philipp Navratil to speed up changes at the company.
Navratil explained that the changes were necessary to stay competitive as markets shift. Twelve thousand of the job cuts will be in office roles. Nestle expects to save one billion Swiss francs, double what they had planned.
The company also plans to save three billion Swiss francs by 2027. Nestle’s sales dropped slightly, with a 1.9 percent fall in its latest report. Nestle India’s profit also dropped by 17 percent for Q2 FY26.
